Bhaktify! Bringing Art & Heart To Your Yoga Teaching:
2:30 – 5:30pm
Learn helpful tips and tools for cultivating more depth, imagination, and inspiration in your teaching through the arts of bhakti yoga – song, music, language, poetry, creative movement, and ritual. Sean will share some of his insights cultivated over 20 years of merging Hatha and Bhakti yoga in his teaching and practice, and also create a fun “Bhakti Teaching Laboratory” where participants can stimulate their creative teaching voice in a safe and supportive atmosphere. We’ll focus on affirming and trusting our innate life wisdom as a teacher so that our inner life becomes the primary source of your teaching. From the lens of Bhakti yoga, we’ll explore how to bring more energy, emotion, dynamics, and musicality to our classes. And we’ll explore some simple language and techniques for making bhakti practices like chanting more accessible for a general audience. This workshop is for experienced teachers looking to infuse fresh energy and inspiration into their teaching, as well as teacher trainees.
